ABOUT ME
I’m a character designer and animator with fourty years’ experience in the industry.
I started out working for a TV commercial studio in Brazil before progressing on to become an animator. After four
years spent working on commercials, I applied to the Don Bluth Studios and was hired as an animator, going on to work on my first feature film.
I later joined Disney for a few years, working on films including Fantasia 2000, Tarzan, The Emperor’s New Groove, and others.
As a freelance artist I’ve had the opportunity to work for many studios around the world.
I’ve been drawing since I was young. My mother told me that I would ask family members to pose for me when I was about four or five years old.
Growing up with Disney comics and watching cartoons on TV, I used to copy the characters from the shows as I watched them.
Drawings and animatedcharacters were my life, and I knew I wanted to pursue it as a profession.
There were no computers when I started out as an animator, only hand-drawn animation. In order to be a good animator, you
also had to know how to draw well.
Since I loved to draw, becoming a character designer came naturally.
When I’m creating characters and their stories, I forget about the world around me for a while
